The Youth For Jesus Program is a 4-week program comprised of 4 core components. The fifth week of YFJ is spent in community projects/outings and getting ready for the ASI International Convention.
Youth For Jesus participants come from all over the United States and some international countries. The month is full of classes, community service, outreach, evangelism, and lots of FUN!
Read the participation guidelines to get a better picture of the principles and standards of the program.
YFJ workshops will equip you with efficient evangelism tools that you can implement in your personal walk with God, when going door-to-door, giving Bible studies, during the evangelistic meetings, and when you go home. You will find a wealth of practical information from the multiple teachers who will be presenting. This is a great opportunity for you to spend focused time in growing spiritually.
Once a week you will get to be involved in a creative way of serving the community. Some of the needs we’ve been able to help meet in the past include: assembling care packages for mothers in crisis, packaging and delivering gift bags for inmates, town beautification projects for museums and parks, volunteering at a food bank, helping at sanctuaries for abandon animals, putting on youth led health fairs, helping at Your Best Pathway to Health, and much more. Each year is an unique adventure!
Outreach is a wonderful opportunity to put into practice the lessons you will learn in the workshops. Bible workers encourage you to lead out in Bible Studies, invite people to the night meetings, seek to find the best ways to meet people where they are, and mentor you in your spiritual growth.
ASI Youth for Jesus conducts simultaneous evangelistic meetings during the month, that you will get to be a part of. You will be involved in each component of the program. Pre-selected youth preach the nightly meetings and the rest of the youth rotate through registration, greeting, ushering, song service, prayer room, children’s department, special music and health talks. There is no better experience than to see and to be a part of someone giving their heart to Jesus!
